Description
of the project

Fraport's nectar LMS was introduced to implement a blended concept for the opening of the new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport. Initially, various digital learning modules were offered to the approximately 12,000 operational employees, providing them with a theoretical foundation and an overview of the terminal's layout before the employees took part in a tour in small groups.

Unique aspects
of the project

The LMS was implemented specifically for the presentation of the new Terminal 3 in order to display topic-specific content for the large target group. Currently, the learning portal is only planned to be used for this training measure in the period from July 2025 to June 2026. The extent to which it will continue to be used after that is still open.

Challenges
in the project

A particular challenge was to create the numerous target groups and link them to the appropriate learning content. During the course of the project, the very heterogeneous target group received various digital learning modules tailored specifically to their needs, and the on-site visits were also mapped and offered separately for the target groups.

Examples from the
learning offering

Learners enter their login details on the login page. In the background, you can see a glimpse of the interior of the new Terminal 3.

The LMS homepage welcomes learners and provides

a glimpse of the new Terminal 3.

The digital training courses were combined in learning boxes to form a learning path, which concludes with an on-site tour.

In addition to each learning module, employees receive a PDF summary that can be downloaded from the document area.
